The Seaside Knitters'  friendship evolves around yarn and sweaters, life in a small seaside town on Cape Ann, Massachusetts, and Nell's amazing Thursday night dinners for the four friends.

Nell Endicott and her husband Ben move to Sea Harbor and into the family's vacation home when a minor heart-attack convinces Ben to cut back hours at the family-owned Boston business. A short time later, Ben and Nell's niece Izzy Chambers leaves her Boston law firm and fulfills a life-long dream--opening a yarn shop in Sea Harbor. And the unlikely group is complete when Birdie Favazza, a wealthy Sea Harbor matron, and Cass Halloran, owner of a small lobster fishing business, stop into the shop one Thursday night--lured by the garlicy aroma of Nell's linguini and clam sauce. And before a stitch is dropped, the Seaside knitters are born. Over knitting and glasses of Birdie's fine wine, the friends discuss life, love, and the mysteries lurking in the small town. Before too many Thursday nights pass, they find themselves involved in uncovering secrets hidden behind the doors of friends and shopowners, and helping bring peace to the town they love.
